51 people, including a 6-year-old boy, were killed today in the village of Groza, Kupiansk district, Kharkiv region, as a result of a Russian attack on a cafe-shop.
According to the Head of Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, 7 people were wounded, one of them died in the hospital.
All of them were hospitalized in regional hospitals.
"Among the injured, there are 6 women, most of whom are over 50 years old, and a 55-year-old man. Two women are in critical condition, while the condition of the rest of the injured is assessed by doctors as moderately severe. Unfortunately, one of the injured died in the hospital," he reported.
According to Synegubov, three days, from October 6 to 8, will be declared days of mourning in the Kharkiv region.
Spokesperson for the Regional Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, Evhen Vasylenko, confirmed during a telethon that a six-year-old boy was among the killed.
According to him, 58 people were rescued from the rubble, 51 of them died, 7 people were injured. There is a possibility that people are still under the rubble. Search operations are ongoing.
Vasylenko emphasized that all the killed were civilians.
According to preliminary information, all the victims are residents of the village of Groza.
