Two children from Ukraine - a brother and sister aged 9 and 6 - died in the Gaza Strip as a result of a rocket attack.

In the city of Gaza on October 24, two Ukrainian children were killed as a result of a missile strike.

This information was confirmed by Oleh Nikolenko, Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirms the death of two Ukrainian children born in 2014 and 2017 in the Gaza Strip. Their identities have been established. We express our condolences to the parents. The Ukrainian representation in Ramallah is investigating all the circumstances of the tragedy and is in contact with the relatives," Nikolenko stated.

This tragic news was also confirmed by the Head of the Department of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Palestinian National Authority, Tyokin, and a representative of the Ukrainian community who is currently in the Gaza Strip, “Suspilne” reports.

It is noted that the mother of the killed Ukrainian children, originally from Kharkiv, survived.

According to Nikolenko, the total number of confirmed Ukrainian casualties in Israel is 19 killed and 1 missing. In the Gaza Strip, there are 3 casualties among Ukrainians.
