What are the main tasks of long-range missiles in Ukraine: Presidential Office’s explanation

Our state urgently needs long-range weapons to finally knock out the enemy from Ukrainian land. 

Any long-range missile with a range of 150 kilometers or more, effectively fulfills a range of critical tasks today. This brings Ukraine closer to achieving true parity in weapons systems with the enemy.

This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the Presidential Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, in his Telegram channel.

5 key tasks

According to the Advisor of the Presidential Office, there are five important issues that long-range weapons solve:

1. Undoubtedly, it breaks the logistics of the rear support of the Russian Federation and thus makes the war significantly more expensive.

2. Makes it impossible to accumulate reserves and carry out rotations.

3. Destroys transport systems and makes almost the entire occupied territory extremely dangerous, which completely deprives Russia of the opportunity to further saturate these territories with its presence.

4. It exerts considerable psychological pressure, because none of the occupiers (including Russian political tourists) can feel safe.

5. Partially reduces the remaining dominant presence of Russia in the air (helicopters and tactical aviation) along the front line.

"All clear benefits that ultimately devalue the reputation of the Russian army and the Russian military-industrial complex. Today, the only question is the quantity of missiles and the speed of their delivery to Ukraine," Podolyak summarized.
